Materials For Game Play:
-
Two dice ; 8-sided dice
-
Lost in Time logo spiral design game pieces

Game Board
-
Time Machine Cards & Storage Envelope

Device with internet access for interactive fact exploration throughout your journey (device not included)

-
The Objective:
-
The objective of the game is to be the first player (spiral game piece) to land exactly on the Award Space which exists in the middle of the time spiral!
-
-
How to Play:
-
Everyone in the Time Travel Board Game plays as an individual.
-
Minimum amount of players is 3 people; maximum is 6 people.
-
The two, 8-sided dice go off to the side of the board (not to be rolled on the board to avoid wrecking stuff).
-
The time era cards all stay within the Time Machine Flap Envelope, and you choose one at random when you land on a Time Machine Space on the gameboard.
-
All game players line up in order at the Lab
-
In order to figure out what order the game players go in:
-
Roll both dice
-
Add the numbers together
-
Whoever gets the largest number goes first (then, players go in descending order)
-
If a tie happens to occur, meaning that 2 or more players get the same sum, then the players must re-roll the dice until someone gets a higher number than the other person.
-
The first player then rolls both of the dice. They can choose one of the 2 following operations (addition, subtraction: whichever gets them closest to winning).
-
-
They then move the number of spaces that the math equation results in.
-
Each Time Era contains a Time Machine game spot. When you land on a time machine spot, lift the time machine container flap. Select a TIME MACHINE CARD -NO PEEKING AT THE OTHERS, obviously because that’s cheating! Flip it over and see what Time Era you have to move your spiral piece to next. You could get lucky and get to go straight away to “The Award Spot”, but you could get unlucky and go straight back to “The Big Bang”. If you’re already in the Era that you pulled from the Time Machine, you get to stay right where you are!
-
-
Special Scenarios:
-
If you happen to roll a double, you get to stay in the same spot or add the values. No matter what you choose, you get to roll again.
-
If you happen to get 3 consecutive doubles, BAD LUCK! You go back to the lab. Don’t worry, this is rare.
-
If you land on one of the warning spaces or the black hole, move back to zero.
-
When you are approaching the Award Space, you must get the exact number of spaces in order to proceed to the Award Space and win the game.
